A new report from the Cheshire West and Chester Youth Partnership is spotlighting the real needs and ambitions of local young people.
Supported by the Westminster Foundation and delivered by Youth Focus North West, the assessment drew on the voices of more than 500 young residents, parents, carers, and professionals.
The research found urgent demand for safe and inclusive spaces, expanded mental health support, stronger life skills training, and better information about existing opportunities.
Financial barriers, limited transport, and a lack of accessible youth programmes remain key challenges for many families.
Executive leaders like Amanda Perraton and Caroline da Cunha stress the importance of listening to young voices and acting on their feedback.
In response, projects such as the Better Start programme in Winsford and the ForCheshireWest Fund are expanding, aiming to boost skills, employment, and opportunities for the borough’s youth.
